We hope this finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the past few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. Our office will be resuming all patient care on Monday, May 4th, 2020. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same, our commitment to your safety.

Our office considers recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and our state Governor. We do this to make sure that our procedures are current and adhere to each agencies’ recommendations. You may see some changes when it is time for you/your child’s next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For Example:

-Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask you some screening question. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you arrive for your appointment and temperatures will be taken of the patient and parent/guardian.

-All patients, parents/guardians will be asked to wear a mask. (with the exception of children under the age of 2) We ask that you have your own mask for we need to preserve our PPE for our Drs and team.

-You will see that our waiting area will no longer offer magazines, children’s toys and so forth, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect.

-Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that you will be offered fewer options when scheduling appointments.

-We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in our reception area at one time.

-When possible, we are asking that parents, guardians, and siblings of patients remain in their vehicle in the parking lot. We understand that this may not be possible in certain circumstances. We will allow one parent/guardian per appointment.

-If you are not comfortable at this time coming in for your child’s dental appointment, please call our office and we will happily reschedule the appointment. Parkway Orthodontics scheduling 605-332-1235

We also want to thank you for understanding all the changes that have taken place since your last visit to our office, but we want you to know that we care about your safety as well as the safety of our team. We look forward to seeing your smiling faces soon!

Sincerely,

Dr. Gibson, Dr. Anderson and the Parkway Orthodontics Dental Team
